Pictures of sequences from the books and the individual key words are available CLICK HERE . Key words are the words that carry weight. Using the key words from a familiar routine will make the game easier. This allows the turn taking to feel more playful and fun.

Go Fish |
Start with 6 picture pairs. Deal 3 cards to each player. Take turns laying down matches. Take turns asking each other for the card you need to make a match. This is a great way to help children learn to use questions. You can add pairs deal more cards to each player. You can add a “draw” pile and when you don’t have something the other player asked for tell them to “Go Fish.”

Memory |
Start with 3 pairs and place them face down. Take turns choosing two pictures, trying to find the two that match. To make it more challenging add more pairs.

Matching |
- Use the key word pictures and take turns running around the house matching them to the actual objects!
- Lay out one set of pictures and take turns matching the exact picture.

Sorting |
Using pictures from magazines, add to the pictures from the Show Jo stories to make groups of categories. |
- Clothes (shirt and shoes)
